Daniel Radcliffe is ready to play World War 1 soldier in 'My Boy

Daniel Radcliffe, the boy wizard in the Harry potter series who
turned 18 last month stars in the World War One film named 'My Boy
Jack' where he trades his school uniform for the rather more
mature attire of the Irish Guards.
In this world war movie, Daniel will have to handle a character
which is much more complicated and real than his character in the
Harry potter movie series. Daniel plays the role of soldier John
'Jack' Kipling in the movie. Jack is the sun of the legendary
writer Rudyard Kipling.
This is a true story which looks at how Rudyard Kipling used his
influence to get his 17-year-old son Jack (played by Radcliffe) a
commission with the Irish Guards, despite his son's poor eyesight.
Jack went missing in action during the Battle of Loos and his
mother and father carried out an ardent search for him, spanning
many years and many miles of soul-destroying discovery.
Reports indicate that Daniel is now very keen on playing 'adult'
roles as he approaches the end of his time playing the hero of JK
Rowling's phenomenally successful 'Harry Potter' series. The kind
of admiration he received for his role in ‘Equus’ has made him
more confident and now he is more than ready to swap his jumper
for world war 1 uniform.
